New features
1. Send ProjectLibrary folder to Trimble Earthworks
To simplify the file transfer and file import process to Trimble Earthworks display (e.g. TD520), we introduced a new way of sending design files. Instead of sending a single design file to the “ProjectLibrary” folder on the display (which then still needed to be re-located manually in the correct project related folder structure or by using Trimble File Flipper on the display), you can now prepare the complete ProjectLibrary folder structure on your PC and transfer the whole folder to your display. This means, if you import a design from the display to your controller, the Trimble Earthworks system will now automatically recognize the folder path and your design can be imported and loaded with ease.
Steps to follow:
After creating your project design, export all the necessary project files to the Trimble Earthworks format, the “ProjectLibrary” folder structure. You can do this with Trimble Business Center (Publish to Library feature) or Trimble File Flipper.
In both cases, once the ProjectLibrary is generated, archive this folder in a.zip file and simply use the “File Transfer (.zip)” feature in Smart Construction Remote to transfer the .zip file to your machine.
Send the zip-file to the TD520 by pressing(1)"File Transfer" and then (2) "Select a .zip file"and finally(3)"Start Transfer".
Now you are able to import the design from your TD520 to the controller.
2. File-transfer to machine groups
You can now send your files to a group of machines you have created previously (a short explanation for the machine grouping feature can be found here.)
Sending files to a machine group can be done in two ways:
1. Through the Multi Filetransfer menu:
Click the (1) "File transfer" icon on the home screen and(2)select a file,(3) click "Search by group name" and (4)select your group. Finally,(5)press "Start Transfer".
2. Through the machine group "File Transfer shortcut":
In the machine (groups) list, simply(1)click the "File Transfer" icon and select the file that you want to transfer and press "Start Transfer"
3. Operator approval settings for Remote Support and File Transfer
For aftermarket systems (not Komatsu iMC), you can now enable or disable an approval request pop-up at each Remote support session or each file transfer (previously this was always enabled). The pop-up will occur on the display of the aftermarket system and the operator will have the ability to allow/cancel the Remote support session or file transfer.
(1) Click on the "Settings" icon
(2) Toggle the approval settings to "Yes/No" and(3)click "Apply"
Improvements
1. Combined view for remote file deleting and downloading
To improve user experience, the "Machine Data Download" and "Delete Machine Data" have been combined in one view"Download/Delete File".
To access this menu, search the desired machine,(1) click "File Transfer",(2)click on the 3 dots and select "Download/Delete File".
2. Offline file transfer cloud storage increased to 96 hours
To ensure a higher file transfer success when machines are offline, we increased the cloud storage duration from 72 hours to 96 hours.
So even when the machine is not online when the file is sent, the file will still be sent to the machine once the machine connects to the internet within 96 hours, thanks to the offline file transfer system, .
3. Show/Hide menu icons
We added a "Show/Hide" toggle. Now you have the possibility to hide the menu icons, in case you want to achieve a cleaner overview.
